Kiwanis is part of our life. As Art’s wife and partner, I have had the opportunity to witness his Kiwanis service through the local club, within the Capital District and internationally as a trustee. Three things have always been constant in every Kiwanis endeavor. First Art loves to serve. Throughout his professional career service to his patients always came first and this service philosophy was duplicated in Kiwanis. Second, Art loves people. He accepts people for who they are and does what he can to make the people he meets more successful. Lastly, as a Kiwanis leader, Art works to insure each action he takes will make Kiwanis stronger and enable each Kiwanis Club to better able to serve their community.
I have been blessed to share life’s journey with Art for 45 years and know first-hand that Art is a caring, compassionate father and grandfather and through these responsibilities he has learned the needs of children. He has invested his time to promote the health, education, and security needs of children, because he understands that children are our greatest natural resource.
Through personal and Kiwanis travel, Art and I have had the opportunity to see many places around the world. This has given us the perspective to appreciate and understand other cultures. Art will use this experience to promote a new level of understanding between Kiwanis districts. Art has my full support on his quest to become the next Vice President of Kiwanis International.
